Established in 2000, we are one of the longest-standing Smart car specialists in the UK.
Surrey Smart Centre was founded by Anthony Clutterbuck. While on a trip to Spain to deliver another car, Anthony was offered an original Smart Fortwo to drive back to the UK. It was during that journey that he realised the potential of these fantastic little cars. It wasn't long before he began importing Smarts into the UK, and the showroom here in South Croydon was opened.
In 2008, Anthony met David while David was working as a Service Team Manager at Smart/Mercedes. David particularly enjoyed working with Smart cars and their customers, and in 2009 he joined Surrey Smart Centre. He worked alongside Anthony for four years before Anthony decided it was time to retire. In late 2013, David took the plunge and took over Surrey Smart Centre, and he continues to run the company today.
With over 25 years of experience in the motor trade, including servicing, repairing, buying and selling cars, we aim to make your next purchase as straightforward and hassle-free as possible.
At Surrey Smart Centre, the advertised price is the price you pay. We don't believe in hidden extras or administration fees.
Since petrol-powered Smart cars were discontinued in 2018, we have found it increasingly difficult to source good-quality, low-mileage Smarts. However, we continue to work hard to find the best examples available.
Alongside our Smart models, we will now also be stocking vehicles from other manufacturers. We will apply the same ethos to these cars as we do to our Smarts, carefully selecting high-quality vehicles to offer our customers a varied choice.
All of our used cars are prepared to the highest possible standard. Every vehicle will come with a minimum of 9 months' MOT, will have been serviced within the previous 6 months and will include a minimum of 3 months' warranty. Warranty cover can be extended for up to 24 months at an additional cost.
